Season of Surrender

Hi All,
I don't know about you but Autumn is such a time of reflection for me. It is the time to reflect and perhaps get ready for real introspection. With the year three quarters gone, or for us optimists "three quarters full" it is a time of reflection and review. It is at this time that I seem to look about for things that may need to be surrendered in my life. Or at the very least put aside for a while. As the foliage around us (at least in areas with seasons of change) shed off their dying leaves and the world prepares to sleep for a while in the soon coming winter wonderland. I ask myself if there is anything in my life that I may need to shed off, or cast away. I hope as you read this months entry that it will inspire you to look for the things in your life that you have been hanging onto that may need to be cast away. Perhaps to be picked up at at later time. Or are there things that you have let go over the last 9 months that need to be revisited. What ever you do in this season remember most of all that this is merely a season and it will come and go. Most of all remember in the midst of all this stripping away and change there is one who will never change. And choose in this season of awe to look around you and hear all of creation giving our most awesome God all the glory and choose to join in, in total surrender. Casting off anything and everything that will keep you from entering into His rest.
